Shaq co-owns a variety of businesses including 155 Five Guys Burger restaurants, 17 Aunt Annies Pretzel restaurants, 9 Papa Johns Pizza restaurants, 1 Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, 150 car washes, 40 24-hour fitness centers, a shopping center, a movie theater, and several nightclubs in Las Vegas and Atlanta; including Shaq's Fun House, and the Studio 54 nightclub.


Shaq also has a stake in the Luxury Living Hotel Group and is a founding partner of Big Chicken Shaq, though each Big Chicken Shaq location is owned and operated by independent franchisees.


Between September 2013 and January 2022, Shaq was also a minority owner of the Sacramento Kings.

Shaq began his investing career in the 1990's when he became active in the bond market. He has since made investments in various blue chip stocks like General Electric, Apple, and PepsiCo. In addition, Shaq has dabbled in real estate.


When the housing market collapsed in 2007, Shaq personally bought the homes of people who had fallen behind on their mortgages and sold the homes back to their owners on more affordable terms.


Shaq has also spoken on behalf of a wide variety of notable brands including Soupman, Zales, Muscle Milk, Shaq Fu Punch, Duckman Shoes, The General Insurance, Carnival Cruises, Dove, Nintendo, Macy's JCPenney, Comcast, Monster speakers, LiNing shoes, NBA 2K, Gold Bond, Buick, Radio Shack, Reebok, Taco Bell, Icy Hot, Nestle Crunch, Pepsi, Wheaties, Oreos, and Burger King.


How much is Shaq Worth?

Shaq's net worth is estimated to be between $450 million. Surprisingly, Shaq actually makes more money today than he did when he was playing in the NBA.


In the 19 years that Shaq spent playing in the NBA he collected $292 million in paychecks from six different NBA teams for an average yearly take home pay of $15.3 million per year.


In addition to his salary, Shaq earned approximately $200 million from endorsements while playing in the NBA.
